Hey guys. I just bought a M3 lip spoiler from another member. I know to install this, I need 3M doubled sided tape. Does anyone recommend what kind of 3M tape that is strong and wont be bad for the car paint. Also where can I buy it from. Thanks

buy it from your dealer. its around $25. i got a spare as mine came with 2 packages of tape when I got mine. too bad shipping will cost more than going to your dealer. if not...its for sale for $15+shipping.

check out my DIY thread to see how it looks like...

regular auto parts store should have it. 3m double sided trim or molding tape.

Home depot has it too and you can just trim it. Don't pay $25 for it...

Here's another suggestion: go to your favorite body shop and either ask them to install it for you (I did this when I had them paint mine to match) or see if they'll sell you a few feet of tape. The stuff that came with mine was two narrow (1/4-inch) strips that looked kind of dubious. I'm pretty sure the body shop used the 3M take other posters mentioned, but they got it right the first time. If not, it is hell to remove and it can only be used once - if you let it stick then lift it, it won't hold.
