Remote Start?

Does anyone here have a remote start function on their E9x? I feel like that should have been included in Comfort Access.

For those that do, what type of system do you have?

good luck with an answer. im quite sure %95 will tell you not to do it due to the high risk of electrical malfunction with these vehicles. I believe the issue is that most remote car starter installers do not know a BMW well enough.

Also if your vehicle is under warranty, consider any future technological/electric issues to be blamed on the remote starter and denied.

Is there a way to install remote start in this car with it's anti theft system. I would think the only way is to keep a key inside the car that the remote start system could use to bypass the EWS. Otherwise I'm not sure how you could do it. I do agree it should be a factory option and included with comfort access.

I fairly sure BMW has NOT developed autostart as part of their control system. Most EU countries have laws against cars idling for extended periods. That is why you see seat heaters and steering wheel heaters and options.

Not sure if higher end system like a Viper can do it???
