I picked up mine a month ago. Have you noticed there's no sound blanket under the hood? How about those cheap looking wipers which they changed from the previous version? And then there's the half empty tool kit? I am not so impressed so far and the gas mileage stays around 17.5 mpg on the highway. Just to see if you find the same issues.

why do you need a sound blanket? I like the sound of my motor. I have roadside assistance, so I don't need tools. I can go to Home Depot for that. The low mpg might depend on your driving style or the fact that the car is brand new is breaking in, if you've only had it a month. sounds like you're more of a lexus person...

OP, congrats and welcome. take some pics a little further back. I now what it looks like to be a bug that lands on your idrive button!!!!

Are the new wipers less effective?

Yea, I noticed the missing soundproofer...we don't even have a toolkit and we have a non-fitting manual...(in the lower trunk). I never noticed the wipers- they look like the ones we had on the 5-series.

We live in Hawaii, so cars get on average about -10 from their Highway MPG readings...our 2008 528i got like...ehh...17 mpg- not bad for going up and down the whole time. The car seems to be getting really good avg. fuel economy, at like 20-21, but it drops going uphill. (as well as going insanely high downhill- think 99.9 mpg)

I'll keep looking at the car.
