No Audio Option for Lock & Unlock

Howdy! I'm new here. I just bought my first German car ever, 2007 335i coupe. I now know the "Joy" of driving because I am always sad when I have to get out of it.

I have a question about the audible sound that I've seen other BMW's make when they are being locked or unlocked. When I navigate to the area where you can set whether or not your lights flash (on the instrument panel) when you lock/unlock the car, I have no option for a sound... it's just not an option in the list. Am I missing something? My car does not make a sound when I lock/unlock it and I want it to. Any help is appreciated.

You have to have the factory installed alarm...I am not sure if they are standard on the 335 or not. On the 328i it is not.

Not standard on any E9x. The cars (up to 2009) are pre-wired though, so its relatively easy to install it. Then you have to pay the dealer to program it to have the beeping confirmation work.

Get the alarm. It's not too expensive.
