new seal leaking

Ok I just got my bike out of the shop cause my front diff seal went out so I went riding today 10 or so miles of nothing but trails and got back and just had this feeling to look at the seal and what do you know its leaking again any ideas on how to keep it from going out all the time?

Make sure the bearing is still tight and put a new sleeve/coupler in it. It must have a wear spot.

wrap the end of the output shaft splines with teflon thread tape, then put some oil on seal lips, then install seal in a rotating motion(do not push straght on) this will keep from disturbing the spring on the inside of seal, then seat seal, an remove tape. as for the coupler just grease splines good when putting drive shaft on

Dont know if you can get one for a brute , but I have used a wear sleeve on a crankshaft for a SBC . Its a little band of brass,that goes over the shaft where the sealing lip rides, to ensure a smooth sealing surface

they make sleeves for our shafts. I've found one online when researching .

i dont feel pits on mine where the seal rides though..

Doesent have to be pits, could be a tiny flat spot or the smallest imperfection

If this is the second time with the same failure, maybe it was a manufacturing defect that made it thru the system. Let the dealer fix it.

I have seen Ready-Sleeves (not sure that is spelt right), work on large shafts. Sounds like small shafts can be repaired just as easy. We used to spray the seating areas and then cut (machine, bore) them down.
