brute 650 SRA radiator relocating question

camobruteforce2010-08-10 21:53:50 +0000 #1
I read the hot to relocate radiator section, and my question is this. Not to sound dumb, but the radiator filler cap isn't mounted on the radiator on the 08 650. It is under the pod area behind the front rack. If I relocate the radiator how will I go about getting all the air out of the lines and how will it work with the radiator being higher than the filler cap and overflow line? Thanks guys, and by the way I am new here! Also has anyone done this on the 650 where the cap is mounted in this position?

hey bud,

I've got an 07 and an 08 650 brute I went on e bay and bought the 750 rads when I did my rad relocate, it worked out awesome! The rads were fairly cheap too!

Looking at the diagram, you also have the thermostate and some lines that come into that same assembly. So, like geo says, you might be better off converting it to a 750 system.

I filled the radiator all the way then put the water hose(garden hose) on the top radiator hose and let it run slowly till it ran out of the radiator and just very fast put the radiator hose on. been a year and no problems
