Tie rod sleeves

wanted to know whats the best way to go about this......what size pipe do i need to slide over the stock rods with no play.....also what type of pipe are you guys using?

any piece of 1/2" rigid pipe should do the trick. fill the pipe with silicone to to prevent the vibration. I have had zero trouble out of mine.

I caution you, this really protects the tire rod, and puts the tie rod ends at risk. It is not a free pass to get rough with the steering. You may want to do the math, if you are an aggressive rider, you may want to by replacement tie rods in effort to save the ends. I am pretty sure the rods are much cheaper.

My dad just built a set for his 07 750 that are 1/2" (if I remember correctly) and he installed hiem joints on the ends like my Catvos tie-rods...they are much more beefy than the factory ones, and he didnt spend much to build them either...I can get all the info from him if anybody wants it and can probably get some pics as well.

a new inner tie rod end cost about $30 over here had to buy one from the dealership this past weekend to keep riding.

heims are strong!. ive got 1/2" joints.
